Catch Up Time

Ok, here's the latest in my life.  I got back from Oklahoma on Saturday night.  I slept all day Sunday.  Monday, I played soccer Mom with the grand kids, except it was doctor, tutoring, etc.  Tuesday it was more of the same.  Currently, Chloe has a torn Achilles tendon and Morgan has a broken right wrist.  If I'm repeating my self, just indulge me.  Today, I went to the knee surgeon.  After waiting one whole year, he said I probably need to see a back doctor now about my hip and back pain, and that it could be causing the pain I've had ever since he operated and replaced my knee.  Figure that one out.  Then, he gave me a shot for the knee pain.... pain killer and steroids.  Said it should last about 3 weeks, and sometimes it take 3 shots to resolve the problem.  Boy, that really confused me.  I think he's grasping at straws.

Then, I went to my great Primary Care Doctor, and she gave me an RX for a new handicap parking placard.  They are so important to me.  Then I went shopping for a netbook for me.  I ended up buying two, cause I got such a great deal on one of them.  I of course had to add a USB powered blue ray dvd rewriter, a USB storage device, and new wifi printer.  That makes five total printers we currently have in the house.  I think only 3 of them work, 1 is out of ink, and the other is an Olympus Photo Printer that I use seldom, cause it actually costs $.70 to print one picture.  Yup, Sam's is a whole lot cheaper, and honestly, I don't print them any more.  I like storing them, getting books made, or watching them on the digital picture frame.

I heard thru the grapevine just the other day that Joyce had broken her ankle.  Joyce, I know you read this, but it is YOUR daughter that failed to tell me.  I am going to get you a card in a few days.  Tomorrow I'm going to pack like a raving lunatic, bitch at my husband, cause I know everything is going to be his fault, especially that fact that I waited to the last minute to pack, and I also spent my packing evening eating and drinking with his family.  I am trying to figure out a way to blame him cause I was the only one that took a camera, and I forgot to put an sd card in it.  Now I just need to find a cable.

As you can tell, I am currently typing frantically, cause I feel bad about being out of pocket.  I am taking my OLD laptop and this new netbook with me to Galveston.  We have reservations to stay in an RV park on Galveston Bay that just opened up last month.  My sister has a 2 bedroom travel trailer, and Gary and my two g-kids, my sister Janice and her husband Mike, and 2 of her g-kids will be spending 4 peaceful days (yeah right) in their trailer, kayaking, haunted house visiting, Moody Garden touring, Kemah Boardwalk Days, and anything else that strikes our fancy.  The RV Park has wifi in the office area. 

My Aunt is to be reevaluated on Friday.  They will decide if she can go home and use home health care, or if she is a better fit for Skilled Nursing.... aka Nursing Home where she'll continue rehab for up to 100 days.  Then, it's either home or ugh.... nursing home.  She is doing very well in rehab, but they are having trouble controlling her blood pressure.  Dang, this netbook sure has sensitive keys.
