Most of you already know about this, and that's the reason I haven't been blogging. Janice, my sister from Houston, has been here since Dad became ill. We finished sorting all of his belongings yesterday. She "inherited" from Angie, their old Explorer. She then spent some big bucks repairing it for her grandson. We'll load it up today and head for Houston tomorrow. I have a little unfinished Dad issues there to tend to. I'll fly home Wednesday.
My knee is still bothering me, seems to be getting worse. It hurts all the time, and is continually hot to the touch. If the surgeon can't give me something concrete that is causing the problem, and something to relieve the symptons, then I'm off to a different doctor. I see him on Thursday. Janice will fly back a week from Wednesday to make the trip with me to Dad's interrment. Thank goodness, cause I don't want to make that trip alone. Gary and Angie and clan will meet us in Yale on Friday, the 11th.
I am praying that once that is done, my life will return to a somewhat normal pace....whatever that is. I probably won't blog too much between now and then. Here is the last video I have of Dad, and I want to share it with you. He was soooooo happy...... he thought we'd forgotten his birthday. I didn't tell him that day that we were having a party, we wanted to surprise him. He was the happiest he'd been in ages. This was Jan. 22.
