Anyway, I've finally found a work around. It works for me, hopefully it will work for everyone else. I have an account on google+, and I've put it there. However, I've marked it as private, so that "could" block it from your view. I am hoping since "I" own it and the blog, it will let everyone that reads the blog see the video. FINALLY....
Labor Day WEEKEND Festivities
I arrived at Sheila’s about 2pm, and Angie and the girls
didn’t get there til closer to 4pm. I
was soooo glad to see them arrive. Gary
was driving me frigging crazy. He was in
a great mood, and wanted to play with me.
That would be okay, but his idea of fun was to squirt me with some water
guns they have, or to dunk me, or to flip me in the pool. Damn, I’m too old for most of that. He probably bugged Sheila and Joyce as much
as me.
Angie and I provided the food. I took Hatch chicken tamales with homemade
Hatch chili sauce, borracho beans with Hatch sausage, and some creamy
rice. Angie took Hatch con queso and
Hatch guacamole and chips. She also made
a fresh fruit tray with cream cheese dip. Chloe made a sopapilla
cheesecake. Needless to say, we ate
well.
I also took some Chili Beer that I bought at Central
Market. It’s one of those beers that you
are glad you tried…. Especially if someone else bought it. That says it all. As a matter of fact, Joyce, Mark, Gary,
Sheila, and I all shared one bottle out of the 6 I took. No one wanted more than one taste. It wasn’t hot, but it was sort of like
drinking the vinegar they pickle peppers in.
Each bottle had a chili in it.
I’m going to take the leftover beer over next week for the next party
when Mariann and Ted are here.
Angie also brought some special Jelly Bellys. I can’t remember what they call them, but
there are at least 2 of each color in the box.
There were two black ones. I love
licorice, so I tried that. The first one
tasted like it should…. Licorice. The
second black one tasted like a skunk smells.
I am not kidding. I don’t know
how they got it to taste like that nasty skunk toad kill smell, but it
did. I spit it out. Being the good sport that I am, the next one
I tried was green. The first one tasted
exactly like a pair of nasty smelly sweaty moldy socks smell. Again, I had to spit it out. The other green one tasted like kiwi lime
cheesecake. Moving on to the pink, the
first one was cotton candy. The second pink
one was barf. I swear…. It almost made
me vomit.
We were trying to figure out how they came up with the smells. Was it on purpose, or just a few bad
mistakes. Anyway, they were a hoot. That would be a good party game. Guess the taste. Problem is, you don’t know if you’re getting
the good flavor or the bad flavor ahead of time. It really was funny, in a sick sort of way.
I had gotten up early (woke up at 3am) so I pooped out
early. Too much beer and not enough
sleep. Angie was pooped also, so we
called it a night early. Unfortunately,
Chloe and Morgan were disappointed because they wanted to play darts and poker
pool. Those two girls just love to go
over to Mark and Sheila’s. They also
thought they’d play Hand and Foot with Joyce, since she basically is the cause
of us all loving the game. Oh well. They wanted to go over today, but I informed
Gary they hadn’t been invited. He
honestly, this is no joke, didn’t understand why I didn’t just let them go
over. YOU ARE WELCOME MARK, SHEILA, AND
JOYCE!
That's it for now. I am supposed to take Sheila and Joyce to Sam's. It's the American version of Costco. The only real difference is Costco seems to stay with the same brands of things and you don't have to buy such LARGE quantities. Sam's changes their coffee brand like it was no big deal. It really is hard to find the right coffee. Anyway... Sam's is easier to get to than Costco, so I continue to shop there, but I also got to Costco. it's more fun.
Later.... and let me know if you have trouble viewing the video.
