Nothing Happening In Big D....

BRRRRRRrrrrrrr.  It's still cold here.  Right now, the official temperature is 28*, but it feels like 20 below if you ask me.  The wind chill.....ugh.  Yesterday, they were predicting we had a chance of snow tomorrow.  Now, looks like our dry spell will continue.  Maybe San Antonio and Houston will get now, but it's no longer on our forcast.

Joyce left Saturday, and made it home safely.  This time, her visit flew by.  I guess it was because everyone was sick, the weather was crappy... just one weird thing after another.  Mark was sick New Years Eve.  He got well, then bam.... he was sick again when she left, but it was worse than the first time.  I got plenty of email from Joyce since she went home, so she's up to her old tricks.

My 15 year old grand daughter, Chloe, came over and spent Saturday night with us.  Morgan, the 11 year old, was ill with the bug that is still going around.  Anyway, I woke up Sunday morning to find Gary cooking bacon, eggs, oat meal, waffles, and biscuits.  Yup, you can always tell when one of the grand daughters is spending the night.  She was watching non-stop shows about creature chasers... I can't remember the name of the series.

Sheila and I played golf Sunday afternoon.  We had a great time.  We played with two guys that were really nice.  We played from the white tees, but we managed to keep up with them.  One guy could drive the ball about 280 yards.  They were men, maybe my age... not "young whipper snappers".  We did manage to out drive them a couple of times, but usually because they didn't hit the driver well.  As a matter of fact, one of them never used a driver, he played irons on all shots.  I started out ok, but got tired.  Sheila didn't play that well either.  She only beat me by one stroke on the front nine.  She was coming on strong on the back nine... but man... I had already hit the wall.  We quit with 3 holes left.

I got home, and Chloe was starving.  We decided to go out to eat and she could pick the place.  She actually picked Casa Millagro... what a shock.  Well, not really, it was either that or El Fenix... there was never a doubt.  Other than that, I've been house bound.  It's too danged cold and windy to do anything else.  I am definitely ready for some warm weather.

I honestly would blog about something interesting if there was anything interesting to blog about.  So, instead of killing time typing about my boring life... I'll close.  I need to get busy working on something to wear to Sheila's Super Bowl Party.
