THE RED ROCKS
After we came home, we got cleaned up and headed out to eat. We went to Aria to eat, cause that's where our show was. We ate at Todd English's Pub. Sheila was in 7th heaven because of all the beer selections. Mel ordered a shaved prime rib sandwich, medium well, and kettle chips. It was one of the few meals that they got everything correct. She was very happy with her meal. Sheila got a salmon sandwich, and hers was good also. I ordered a flat iron steak sandwich. From reading the description, it would be the prime steak chili sandwich on bread with cheese fondue and fritos with BBQ. Well, it was a sandwich with melted cheese, a few brown beans, and the most fantastic BBQ sauce. It was delicious. I actually ate all of it. The meal wasn't cheap, especially the beers ($9) but probably worth it. I would eat there again.
Last night we went to see Cirque de Soleil's Viva Elvis. It is probably the best show I've ever seen. They didn't have an Elvis impersonator.... instead, they used home movies of when he was younger, and then videos of him as he aged. This also included his marriage to Priscilla. Then because it was a Cirque du Soleil show, the acrobatics were amazing. The stage props were something else. I'm positing a brief video from You Tube, but it doesn't do it justice.
After the show, we went to the Flamingo. No crap tables in our price range, so we played slots for a brief amount of time. Sheila and Mel left before I did, so I wondered over to my "home"..... Bill's. The slots weren't paying much, so I quit at 2:30 and left. We're all a little tired this morning, but we HAVE to stay at it, cause it's Sheila and my last night. Mel is staying til Sunday. I have spent less than I brought.... that's all I'm gonna say.
We're out by the pool, and I decided to continue my effort to blog daily. Hope you enjoy it.
