Joke of the day compliments of JR:
What do you call someone else's cheese?
Nocho Cheese!
Another beautiful day. Madyson and Chloe cooked pancakes and bacon for breakfat this morning. Those two are having as much fun in the kitchen as they do at the beach. Thinking back, there was rain forcast for the entire week. We have been so lucky to have such wonderful weather. We also found out that jelly fish have a season here, and it's July and August.
Not much exciting this morning. I did stay inside while everyone else went to the beach. I washed several loads of clothes... mainly towels. We've been trying to sort some things out today, so we won't have too much to do tomorrow. I took my car to town, and used the only vacuum system on the island, and got about 10 pounds of sand out of my car. There's still some left, but I ran out of money.
The kids are taking one last trip to the beach tonight. They plan on building one more huge sand castle. Let's just hope the mesquitos don't eat them alive. We're completely out of bug spray.
That's about if for today. Just a run of the mill day on Dauphin Island. Completely laid back....

Tropical Storm Fay
The national Weather Service is monitoring Tropical Storm Fay as it moves in a Northwesterly pattern at 14MPH. It is expected to intensify as it hits warm Gulf waters and can possibly be upgraded to a hurricane. On it's current projectory it will hit the Northwestern side of Florida and continue Northwest making landfall around Appalacahcola by Wednesday afternoon. Mimi...leave NOW or renegotiate a better rental rate, cause that tornatic storm won't have been anything compared to this storm system.
