Thanksgiving Eve

Chloe and Morgan , came over yesterday ended up staying until we got home from the movie and dinner. Morgan wanted to go home and sleep in Chloe's new bed, but Chloe wanted to stay here. Of course, Gary can never say no, so she slept with me and Gary slept on the couch. That's our normal sleeping arrangement when the girls sleep over. They don't like to sleep in the other bedroom alone. She and I awoke at around 4am this morning to the sound of screaming coyotes. They carried on for about 20 minutes before I got tired of it, and turned on all the back yard flood lights. They don't light up very much because we're so high above the ground and behind trees, but it stopped them. Well, for about 30 seconds. They carried on until around 5am. I got back to sleep around 5:30, and the alarm went off at 6am. So much for a good nights sleep.

Got around and made it to the shoulder doc. What a bummer. He gave me 6 more weeks of doing nothing with the right arm. I am doing some things (cooking, computing, & other menial things), but I've really tried to be good, hoping to speed up the healing time. So much for being good. I go back mid January, so I guess since I've got this much time doing nothing, a few more weeks won't matter. Well, they will, but there's not much I can do about it. Oh, I did get a refill on the pain pills. He did, however, reduce me from 1000 mgs (or whatever the measurement is) to 750's. Guess that's okay, cause I only use them if it's really bad, or I want to sleep.

Did that, then made a McD's run for breakfast for Chloe. Morgan found out, so I had to pick her up some breakfast and get her on the way home. At least everyone got fed. Of course, Gary cooked his regular breakfast... toast, oatmeal, bacon, and he's added grapefruit since they're in season. I didn't get anything accomplished, but I did make fauxtatoes for Eric, and cleaned out some drawers. Angie came over abour 3:30 to clean the house. She left about 6:30. The girls helped her clean. Yup, it doubled her work. Anyway, she's awfully good to me. She really is sweet. Gag..... I'm even making myself sick.

All this housework was because we're having Thanksgiving here, and I like to have a tidy house for any holiday meal at my house. While I was cleaning drawers, Angie was mopping, and Gary decided to blow the leaves from the last week. I think it's a guy thing. Because we're having company, he wants to clean the garage, wash his truck.... you know, all that stupid stuff that only another man would notice. Did he help mop? NNNNNOOOOOOO. But, he did notice when I pointed out that he'd tracked mud in all over Angie's mop job. Did he offer to remop? NNNNNOOOOOOO! Woops.... there goes my blood pressure. I'll change the subject.

I thought I had something exciting to do today, but the doctor nixed me doing anything, so I changed my plans and went back to doing nothing. I need to change the name of my blog to "My Sucking Life". Well, I had nothing to write about, but I did post. It stops the e-mails asking what's wrong.

Life is .... well, it is what it is. I really, honestly, have a good life. I have a daughter that I think the world of, she and I are also friends, I have a husband that dotes on my father and me, two beautiful healthy grand kids, my father is relatively happy here (considering the losses he's been thru), and I have 3 grand dogs that no longer poop in my house. I also have the best friends in the world. You know, the ones that would never let you make a fool out of yourself..... alone. And when you do, they never tell. I love them all.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
