Typical Tuesday

My day started out with a bang. I awoke to a ringing cell phone. I answered, but no one was there.... only breathing. Wow, my first obsene call in ages, so I looked at caller id, in case we got cut off. Wow.... it was Dad. I went into his room and he was in pain. He wasn't sure what was wrong, but he knew something was wrong.... he was shaking something fierce, and unable to stand up. I called the doctor, and she told me to take him to the hospital. Off we go.
Long story short, he got really ill when we were about 3 miles away. I wasn't sure we'd make it. He couldn't breath or talk, and he was shaking something fierce. He kept pointing at this heart. I asked if he thought he was going to be ill (meaning throwing up) and he shook his head yes. I was thinking heart attack..... I just kept on driving since I was on the freeway and almost to the hospital. He finally got his breath, and all of a sudden he was fine. Whew.
Got to the ER, they did all types of tests, and found he has a mild case of pneumonia. Now, the attending hospital physician remembered Dad from a previous ER trip. That was when he had pancreatitus (spelling??), because he had the largest paresophog....whatever... hernia. She is of the opinion that maybe that's what was causing the problem... no way to tell after the thing has quit hurting. Anyway, it worked out really well, cause the x-ray showed the pneumonia. They think catching it so early was really good, and they'll keep him here for a couple of days and keep giving him antibiotics and breathing treatments. He'll start home physical therapy as soon as we get out of here. Right now, he feels really good, cept he's missing his beloved Stella. He's watching a video, and I'm blogging. Here's a pix from the ER this morning.

Saw this outside. This pix was actually taken with my iPhone. Pretty good, no? But, the one above is a little blurry. Guess the light makes the difference.

This thing was on my garage door. I'm not sure what it is, but it moves ever so slowly. Not that great a pix, but I didn't enlarge it. I just cropped it, so it's enlarges somewhat.

Oh my gawd.... I've resorted to blogging about bugs. Guess I need to shut it down for tonight.

Later...
