FRIDAY

This has been a fun filled, busy week. My oldest grand daughter, Chloe, has been working all summer, raising money to pay her way on a mission trip with her church. She'd been to the doctor, cause she had hurt her foot a little more than a month ago, but she had a know on her foot, and continued pain. They put her in a walking boot 6 weeks earlier, and she went Monday to get the final verdict. They decided to do an MRI, on a rush basis to determine her next step. They did the rush MRI on Monday, and Tuesday she went back to the doctor, and he advised her that she had broken her foot, and it was all most completely healed, also a ruptured achillies tendon, that was doing better, but still not healed. No surgery, thank goodness, but also no missionary trip. She had saved almost $1500, and Angie had matched it. She does NOT get a refund, but at least her foot will get better.

Mark had to go "into" the real Bank of America offices to work this week. In his absence, Sheila invited my g-kids to her pool party Tuesday. Chloe took her friend Masah, who Sheila had met before. Chloe left in the middle of the morning to see the doctor (see above), and then Morgan had to leave early for tutoring. It was come and go almost all day, but the time went by really fast. We were there from 10 til 2:30, and it flew. Even Sheila agreed. We provided the food, but Sheila had to cook. Adults...... brats with chili, cheese, onion, mustard, and all but Sheila added sauerkraut. The kids had hot dogs. It was a lot of work for Sheila, but we had fun.

There were so many toys, we almost didn't have room to swim....just kidding.

Sheila leads us in "un-syncronized" swimming....

The hostess with the mostest!

Our only baptism of the day... lucky Sheila.

This was the girls favorite part....getting Sheila!

Wednesday, Sheila, Margie and I went to play golf in Wolfe City, which is about 65 miles NE of Dallas. I drove, which is different, cause Sheila is usually the driver. In case you all are not up on your Native American (can't say Indian any more) Legends, a white buffalo is a very important happening. They are an indication that all elements need to come together, yada yada yada. Anyway, there was one born in Greenville, which is where we drove thru to get to the golf course. Wednesday was the day they were having their big spiritual festival. There were approxiately 2400 people there. We didn't go for the naming ceremony, but we stopped on our way home from golf. The crowds had already gone, and we couldn't really "see" the white buffalo, but we did see a poster of his picture. Well, at least we tried.

.

This is the only picture of people. The poster wasn't worth the effort to post. The day has been hectic cause both grand kids are here, which means they're arguing with each other (don't all siblings?).

Below is a movie of Sheila and I doing our scooter tour in Vegas. Before you watch, here's another paraprosdokian, which I want to dedicate to Sheila:

A clear conscience is the sign of a fuzzy memory.

Enjoy the video......
