HAPPY EASTER !

EASTER AT MIMI AND PAPA'S HOUSE - CONNIE STYLE

Everyone except me got up and went to church. I stayed home and hid plastic eggs.

Due to the rain, we played inside. The first egg hunt was for the two legged kids.

Each egg has a poem with a missing word, the word that will tell them where the next eggs is. When they reached the final clue, they found boxes of Jelly Belly's.

Morgan doesn't read big words, so Chloe read the peoms and together they found the clues. The first hunt lasted 45 minutes. I was fixing brunch while they had their hunt.

After brunch, the big hunt was on. Same game, just bigger prizes. This hunt lasted for almost an hour. The girls had a ball, and the adults drank coffee and chatted and took photos. Both Angie and Eric have new digital SLR's. Eric is getting really good with botanical subjects.

When the girls had finally found their new clothes, badmitten set, sidewalk chalk, and chocolate rabbits, we began the four legged egg hunt.

Stella was voted best dressed four legged kid. Angie did so well on Stella's Easter Outfit. Stella also got a dog cookie, which she doesn't know what to do with. Stella has a problem with bladder stones, and cannot eat dry dog food. Thus, she's never eaten anything too very firm. She just doesn't know what to do with most dog treats.

That's okay, Annie makes up for it.
Speaking of Annie, you cannot trust her with any plastic eggs in the house. Last night, she found Angie's hidden chocolate stash, and opened all the eggs and had chocolate till she got sick.

The dogs eggs have dog treats (real dog snacks), and Annie will do ANYTHING to get one. She opens them all by herself. Poor Coco, just waits for Annie to open hers, then before she gets it, Annie eats the treat.

This continues until Annie is satisfied. Isn't she just beautiful? This was her Easter Basket, and she laid like this for at least 30 mins. She was too stuffed to move.

All in all, it was a great Easter.

Happy Easter to all of you!
