Monday was a bright sunny, cold, windy day. It never got above 56 per my outdoor thermometer that is on the front porch (which is shaded). I got out twice. Once was to see what Gary was doing. I hope you're sitting down. For the 2nd day in a row, he's worked on the same project. I am sort of concerned that he's getting dementia, cause this is a rarity.....for sure. Oh well, guess I'll just enjoy it and see what happens next.
My other outing was with Angie. We went to Sam's, then to Taco Bell (yummo breakfast - at 1 in the afternoon), then to Sprout's. On the way home, we saw a "Fried Pie" store, and being the diet conscious people that we are, we stopped. They're closed on Monday's, so that was good. However, as I was driving I noticed a carry out gourmet shop. We stopped to browse. Sure enough, they have all types of inviting stuff. I ended up paying $24 for 4 dozen cookie balls. All I have to do is bake them. Just hope they taste good. Angie got spinach-artichoke dip.
The girls came over after school, cause it's piano lessons for Chloe. Her teacher lives next door. While she was at piano, (this was Morgan's idea) Morgan, Angie, Stella and I lay on my bed and watched the original Wizard of Oz movie. Morgan loved it. It was her first time. There were actually a couple of things I didn't remember from the 10 or so previous times I've seen the movie.
Tuesday was a nothing special day..... only 2 doctors appointments. The oral surgeon says that she needs 4 months before she'll be able to determine the final status of my tongue. By the way.... I'm the only person that is certified to talk out their arse. I actually had a piece of my hip removed and put in my jaw. Thought I'd throw that in. Do NOT ask why. The other doctor was the gut doctor. I'm doing about the same, so he's added 2 new meds. Great! Good news is, I am not supposed to go back for 4 months. Yipee..... same as the other doctor. Get this.... Gary (hubby) is still working on the fence.
Gary T called to see if I could play golf Wed., and of course, I said sure. Sheila called after that to see if I could play golf Wed.. I said sure...... as long as it included Gary T. She was good with that so we all agreed to play around 11 am. Wed. morning, on my way to the golf course, my phone rings, and it was Sheila. She was tied up working! Damn..... that damned job of hers is really messing up my life!
Anyway, Gary and I played and saw Sue D. She was working (she's a players assistant at the golf course) and she asked if I was going to play with the league on Thursday. I said only if my tummy lets me, and explained to her about mornings being my worst stomach time. She said she'd really rather play later, so we called Sheila, and we all agreed to play at 11am. By the way, the weather was perfect. Sunny, warm, and no wind. Gary (hubby) worked on the fence...AGAIN!
Got up Thursday, went shopping at Coldwater Creek, my new wardrobe store. They're cheaper than the boutique I've been going to, but the quality is a-one. Anyway, I got another white blouse and some new jeans. Then I headed for golf. Sheila called while I was driving there, and she was running late. No big deal. We finally tee off, and Sheila played her best round ever..... for 8 holes. Then she got a call about work, which lasted about 15 mins. Her next shot was skulled into the water. It just went downhill from there. Sue and I both shot not-so well, but not-so-bad either, considering we waited on every shot, and were playing from the white tees.
Afterward, we celebrated with a beer. I had to go to the grocery store, and as I left, the two of there were getting another drink. Came home, and again, Gary (hubby) was working on the fence.
Today it rained off and on all day. If it wasn't raining, it was misting. Hopefully it will be nice tomorrow, cause I'm in a tournament. Tried to get Sheila to play in it, but she just didn't have her competitive juices flowing. Gary T usually plays, but got a note from him earlier saying he can't play. I will go either way, but just hope it is NOT raining! They don't stop the tournament for anything.
That's it for now. Chloe and Angie are camping with girl scouts, Eric is going camping with a man we met on our first trip to Texoma, and Morgan it at a sleep over tonight. Tomorrow night, she'll spend the night with me. I have the funniest feeling we'll be watching tv in the bed all evening. Gary (hubby) did not work on the fence today. We'll see if the one day off makes any difference in when he works on it next. Oh..... he even bought more cedar wood. This is getting really scary!
Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today! Later........
