Friday night, the girls convinced their Mom to let them spend the night. Off the girls and I went to El Fenix (yeah I know ..... everyone could have guessed that) for dinner. On the way home, we went to Fry's (big electronic dealer, like Best Buy). Our Christmas shopping is in full force. We got several gifts, but not the item I was looking for. Came home, and the girls had a popcorn fest and movie night. They went to bed around 9, and I got to bed around 12.
Saturday I woke up to a gray sky, and it was damp. We haven't had rain yet this month, but I thought for sure it would happen Saturday. Spoke with Sheila, and she has mist in her neck of the woods. We're probably about 10 miles apart, as the crow flies. It ended up being a really nice day. Rain isn't predicted until Sunday. Yeah, just our luck. Sheila was flying out to Chicago (if I remember correctly....don't bet on it) and Mark was going to be my partner for the scramble. Cool.....
Got up Sunday, and called the golf course. Nope.... not enough people to have a touranement. So, Mark and I played 18 holes of golf. We didn't start out well, but we definitely improved. I'm not sure if we really did, or if we just drank too much beer. Either way, it was great fun. I came home and cooked salmon on the grill. It came out great.
Today, I got up and started cleaning my room. Gary and I gutted our closet, and we're trying to get both of us more room. He's purging his clothes, and I've done it again. I may actually come out ahead on the closet space. Amid all that, Gary decided to go buy another new TV. (He bought one a week or so ago for the living room..... a 48 in flat screen. Today, he bought "me" a 55 inch flat screen for the bedroom. It's almost as big as the bedroom fireplace..... which it is currently sitting on. He got that in time for the AT&T installer to come change us from DISH to Uverse. We can now record 4 shows at the same time...... that's a life saver during football season. I'm still trying to figure it all out, but first thing tomorrow, I have to call and add more channels..... Dad lost his Western channels. THAT IS BAD!
Everyone came over and feasted on home made chicken and noodles. Dang, I'm a good cook. And not only that... is't so easy it's nothing!
Gary is still working on the fence on the west side, so tomorrow I'm going to blog pictures on his progress. It's a typical Gary job. Hey, I can't complain.... he did put me up a new towel bar, well one of three I wanted, in the laundry room. I've decided I'm going to have to redecorate this house, and that's the first room I'll start with. Mainly because it'll be so easy. Later......
I worked on my closet all day, and got a couple of bags of clothes to give to a charity for the blind that will come by on Wed. to colletc my items. MY half of the closet is finally spotless. All clothes are sorted by type and color..... it feels soooo cool. Of course, that will last only a week or two. But, it is nice for a while.
The girls spent the night last night, and Morgan woke up complaining that we always move her to the outside when she spends the night, and shes tired of not getting to sleep in the middle. I tried to explain that once she learns how to sleep with at least a sheet over her body, she can do that, but until them, little miss "smokin hot blodded 7 year old" will keep sleeping on the outside. Of course, Chloe woke up early because of Morgan, so at 5:15, I got dressed and went to buy hot donuts for the girls. I ate an apple fritter, and it will be my last one. It didn't agree with me.
The girls school had a fall fest today, and only Morgan went. They had a bounce house, rock climbing call, and lots of other activities, but Chloe wouldn't go cause it would upset her that she'd not be able to play in all the activities becasue of her crutches. She stay here. We had gone to Fry's after
