Friday - day of rest

What a week it's been. We made it safely back from Okla. on Tuesday afternoon. My car is still not unloaded of sunflower seed shells, but what can I say? I did manage to get Dad and myself to the dermatologist on time..... but they had lost electricity, along with hundreds of others in Stone Bridge. There were 30 or so people waiting, so we left and said we'd reschedule.

Sheila, aka The Beave, and I played Telco Golf Wed. night with Gary T, aka Devil Dog, and Carlos S., aka Zurdo. Neither of us won the "couples" play, but we had fun, as always. The reason for the aka's? The Telco state tournament is coming up the first of Oct., and we 've decided to get tatoos and use an alias while there. More details to come, I'm sure. All we know for now is that it's no longer in Bandera again, but had been moved to Glen Rose Squaw Valley, where I got my first hole in one. Several of us from the Telco league decided to have dinner at the golf course on Thurday night. Carlos, the one that started the idea, didn't make it.
Here are some pictures from Wed. night. Carlos brought his camera, so there are none of him.

Thursday, I spent almost an entire day cleaning carpets in the living room. Then, exhausted as I was, Gary and I went to the golf course for dinner. Randy and Wanda were there, along with Sheila and Mark. We all had a fun time eating, and drinking the buy 2 get 1 free drinks. I also got a free sampler from the pasta chef that we all enjoyed. We went home early, with plans to meet at my house at 6pm for dinner the next day.
Friday, I spent the day cleaning carpets in the dining room and study, then off to scrubbing floors and dusting. GASP! All this because Randy and Wanda were coming over, and I didn't want my house to be a mess. That, and start making dinner. Joto beef, which is a soy-sesame seed marinated beef strips which will be grilled, "smashed" taters, jalapeno stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon, which will be grilled, bread, and bleu cheese wegde salads. Should be great fun.... if I can get my tired lazy arse off the couch when the door bell rings.......
