SATURDAY MORNING MADNESS

Chloe spent the night with a girlfriend, so Morgan decided to spend the night here so she could be spoiled by Papa Gary. That's one smart girl. She awoke at the crack of dawn, still in night shirt, donned her safety goggles, located the pellet gun, and declared today was hunting day. She got Gary up and invited the neighborhood boy, Avery (he's an immature 14) to go with them..... and they were off! They left on scooters. Yes, Gary broke down and got himself an adult sized scooter so he could keep up with the kids. They have returned with no wild meat to cook, as Morgan declared. THANK GAWD!

I've been on the phone this morning with the golf course, and I have to go there in a few minutes. We have doubled the size of our first tournament last month..... from 12 couples to 26 couples. I am soooooo excited. Carlos S was supposed to play with Tracy P (she's pictured with Eddie in previous blogs), but Carlos has to work overtime. In speaking with Matt at the pro-shop, we've changed the format to 4 person scramble, and it'll be Tracy P, Mark (Sheila's hubby), Ed W (yup..... the ogre) and me as a team. Hope that works out okay for everyone. One thing, Sue and Clay are playing, but they don't know it's a four person event. They didn't want to participate in any high-pressure golf...... don't think I'll tell them until AFTER the event cause I want them to participate. Isn't that what friends are for?

Carlos S is NOT the Carlos that made today's front page Dallas Morning News! They interviewed a different Carlos S at the ball game last night. What an event! The Cowboy's play their first game in the new arena, and a punt hits the overhead video monitor. You'd think it was the end of the world according to the blogs I've read. Instead of having to raise the monitor (Jerry Jones doesn't want to do that....says the punter did it on purpose) maybe the best idea would be to hang Jerry Jones 20 feet closer to the ground in the monitor's place and let the punters go for it.

I just thought, think I'll wear my Dallas Cowboys Golf Shoes tonight. I've had them for a couple of months now, and never worn them. I guess it's a good idea, since the Cowboys won last night, and who knows how long that will last.

Later, and I'll post about the tournament tonight. Also, when I hear anything from Sheila, I'll let everyone know. I imagine she's having too much fun to write.
