Webb City is not on current maps, but we managed to find it. It still had a volunteer fire department, and a church. Dad was disappointed because he couldn’t find the railroad tracks he
We dropped Dad off in Pawnee with his sister. We stopped for some dinner for Dad and his sister and the girls found something to play in while their food was being prepared.
Not bad for a full days drive, we arrived at Frank's house in Cushing around 5:30. We went out to eat Mexican food (don’t read this part Angie) because that’s where Frank wanted to go. We won’t mention that Chloe hated it, and that I accused them of spraying for bugs, cause the smell was awful. Of course, the waiter told me it was the guys at the next table, who’d just gotten off work and didn’t shower first. I was sorta embarrassed…. Oh well.
Sheila called. She wanted to know why I’d called her. This iPhone is gonna be the death of me yet. It dialed her, but all she heard was noise. That would be and the girls at the pool. Well, nothing like a phone to keep your friends on their toes. I am now to the point where I turn it off every time I’m near a bathroom.
Saturday, my great-niece came over to spend the weekend, and Dad went back to Tulsa with my nephew. Saturday, about all the girls did (besides drive Frank and me crazy) was go to the park. They can entertain themselves no matter what, but it is nicer when they’re outside. They played in the water hose for a couple of hours last night… Frank took us to Braum’s for dinner. They were tired enough that they didn’t go to bed until midnight.
Our big excitement yesterday….. Frank went to use the toilet upstairs, and a frog was in the toilet. Thank gawd it wasn’t one of the girls that found it. I’d never get them to use an inside toilet here if they’d found it. He was a cute little tree frog. We decided they must go down thru the air vent. The girls are never going to drink from a coffee cup here again, cause Frank used a coffee cup to catch the toilet critter. Cute, no?
This morning, the girls are banging on the electric piano, Frank is pacing….. so it’s off to Mickey Dee’s for breakfast and their playground. Gotta burn some energy. It’s also a good place to catch up on blogging.
Nothing much else exciting….. no snakes…nada. Ahhhh….. like in the big metropolis city of Cushing, Ok.
