Wednesday, Dad had a stress test in the morning, then I went to play Telco golf. I drove for a change. It was our usual foursome.... Carlos S, Sheila, Gary T and me. This tournament was a 3 clubs plus putter tournament. Unless Sheila misfigured her handicap (she changed from an 8 to a 7), we tied with her.... each having a 33 for our team score. I think I beat everyone else with a low gross of 43. I wasn't feeling very well, so I'm not sure how I shot that score, but I also got one birdie. We didn't find out the results before we left, so it'll be another week before I can brag if I won anything.
Last week, Sheila and Gary T tied for second low gross, each with a 40 and Sheila also won a skin with a par/net birdie on #1. Sheila's handicap went down for this week from an 8 to a 7. YEAH! I won a skin with a birdie/net eagle on #5. I'm anxious to see how we faired this week. Sheila won't be here, she's on ANOTHER vacation, so I'll have to blog so she'll know how she did.
Gary took the girls to the Disney train. I'm not sure what that means, but they did go someplace and have lunch with their American Girl Dolls. They had a ball, and I think Gary always enjoys doing this type of thing with them.
My shopping day with Morgan was Thursday. I was ready to quit about 30 minutes after we started. We stopped for breakfast, and she got a breakfast sandwich and a vanilla shake. She didn't like the sandwich, said she was afraid it would fill her up. Then all she ate of the vanilla shake was the cherry. Our first stop was Sears, and she declared she only wanted "Wizards of Waverly Place" clothes. So, they had a purse and 2 shirts. She got both shirts, and I had to convince her it wasn't a purse, but a tote bag. Then it just went down hill from there. We had lunch at sonic.... fries and cherry coke for her. She did eat that. Then, she wanted Italian food, so off we went to Picasso's, her favorite place. She ate two bites and declared she was full. About $300 later, we came home. Never again with that one..... Both girls are so excited about school starting..... and the clothes were just frosting on the cake.
Today I played banker, golf tournament director, house cleaner, shopper, and police spy. Angie convinced me to go to Dollar Tree at Collin Co. Mall to check out the scene. It was a crime scene. They had 3 people stabbed in the store at 9:30. That was all I could find out..... here's a CSI pix. Think I should forward it to the police?
That's all about my exciting life. We have 23 couples signed up for the tournament, so I'll have something worthwhile to blog about tomorrow.
Later....
