Anyway, Sheila was supposed to pick up Ralph and Margie, then come get us and drive us all to the game. Gary decided it'd be more fun for the rest of us if he was the designated driver. Trust me, Sheila jumped at that! Gary and I donned our new Stars outfits.... him in a Stars sweatshirt, and me in my hooded Stars fleece jacket. Got them both at Academy for a good price. Also picked up a couple of fingers. LET THE GAME BEGIN! We were ready to rumble!

Margie and Ralph were waiting on us, got them and Gary sped all the way to Sheila's. He wanted to make sure it wouldn't be his fault if we were late. Sheila came out in her team outfit also. That's Mark bringing us beers to consume on the way (none for Gary or Margie).

Sue and Clay were supposed to just meet us there. We actually met them while we were walking down the street to American Airlines Center. Sheila was spoiling for a fight from the moment she got out of the car.

We all got beverages and snacks, and intensely watched the game. It was a pretty good game, all in all.
We had fairly good seats. Here are the teams warming up.
The first period, Stars only shot for a goal 2 times, but the Leafs tried like 14 times. I decided to root for them just because they at least TRIED to make a goal. Guess the Stars got a butt chew during the break between the first and second period, cause they came out a different team. Here we are cheering the Leafs on.

Ralph got a little obnoxious when the Stars FINALLY tied up the score to force the game into overtime.

The Stars scored so they won the game 4 to 3. We left the game to find it sprinkling. We got to the car before it started really raining. Gary did manage to get out of the parking lot with "just a little encouragement" from me. I had to teach him how to be assertive. Everyone got home safe and sound.
I'm sure to most people reading this that it doesn't sound that exciting, but when we all get together, we have a ball. Gary and I are lucky to know such fun people.
It's pouring down now as I type. That's it for now..... past my bed time....nightie night!
