Got up early, and started getting ready for my pool party. Didn't know I had a pool? Well, I don't and the pool party wasn't here, it was at the golf course. This was my biggest golf tournament.... 21 couples actually attended. Sheila, Mark, Clay and Sue played in it, and Joyce joined us for our meal later in the evening. She did get to watch Sheila attempt to get in the pool. Sheila never made it, but I made it in once. I'm just soooo good. About as good as I am humble.
Getting into the pool consisted of chipping a Sponge Bob golf ball into one of two wading pools. The winners got in two times, so that will tell you how tough it was. We started golfing at 5:30, and after golfing, chipping, eating and awarding prize money, got out of there at 9:30. I left, got half way home and realized I'd forgotten to take the pools down. Thank gawd I remembered and got back just as they were locking the gate. They let me go take them down and I got home about 10.
I was hot and tired, so I didn't get a lot of pictures. Mainly, I took them for the newsletter that Sheila makes for the golf course. That's about all that's exciting going on here. I'm going to go build a garden, and transplant tomatoes and herbs into the ground. I have basil out the wazoo, but the tomatoes aren't putting on any new fruit. It may be too hot, but I guess I'll find out.
Later, and here's a bumper sticker....
