FWGA MEMBER GUEST RESULTS

Yesterday, we played in the FWGA member-guest golf tournament.  I shot fairly well, but didn't win squat.  I'd blame my partner, but she probably played her handicap.  We shot a 79, and ended up with a net 69.  Yup, we got 10 strokes.  Considering her handicap was a 26 a year ago (she lives in Mexico and hasn't played since last year).  My index is now a 14.6.  Well, that's also from a year ago.  Whatever..... we did have a lot of fun.  A 68, shot by Linda Nelson and her guest won our flight.  She has a 17.9 index.  Don't know what her partner had, but they also got 9 or 10 strokes.  At least I won something in the raffle.  I won golf for 2 including cart at Sherrill Park, which is at the end of my block.  I haven't played there in years.  That should be fun.

Sheila and Judy were one stroke out of the money.  They were in a different flight.  They each got $50 for winning their shoot out.  Gerry and Margie were officially disqualified because they weren't a member-guest.  (I still don't get this..... the committee said they could play, then changed their mind when they won.)  Oh well, it was one of Margie's good friends that complained.  Couldn't really blame her for complaining..... with Margie DQ'd, they got the prize money. Sheila also won a golf picture, and  a round of golf for 4 at Winstar Casino, and another round for 4 at Golf Club of McKinney.  She made a killing!  Margie won something in the raffle, but I can't remember what.  Gerry and her partner also won something.

Here's a picture of Sheila and Judy, her partner.  Judy is also Gerry's sister-in-law.  This is the lady that invites Sheila to the Par-t-in-Paradies golf tournament.

This is a terrible picture of my friend Marnee and her partner.  I know the partnes is a member, but I have no idea who it is..... so I'll just use the term partner.  (not THAT kind of partner)
Lastly, here's a picture of Gerry and her sister, Sue Ellen.  Both really super ladies.

Today, Sheila is supposed to have company from Canada for a few days.  She was really looking forward to that.  I can't remember their names, but I've never met them.  The guy is an avid, good golfer.  Sheila has signed them up for the couples tournament that we're having Saturday night.  They should have fun there.

Today, I had an appointment with the heart doctor.  He had me do a tread mill stress test.  He said my heart looked really good and strong, and no significant damage from my heart attack a few years ago.  He gave me a clean bill of health.  I went to my GP Wednesday, and she dropped Welbutren (sp?) and added Cymbalta.  So far, I am having side affects which are not pleasant, but not a show stopper.  Another side affect that CAN happen, is weight gain.  I am watching it closely.  The majority of people that take it lose weight.  I'm pretty sure I would never be so lucky as to get that side affect.  I also start my Humira injections again tomorrow.  Long story short, my GP says I didn't give it enough time.  Hmmmm. Whatever.

This video is dedicated to Mark, by my hubby.
Gary came in and said, "You know, Mark said he'd never seen a live armadillo.  So you have your camera?"  I got my camera and followed him.  Yuck!  This is NOT my idea of a good shot of an armadillo, but it is alive.  At the moment.  Stella found it half buried.  This is a little over 6 weeks old, cause his shell has started hardening.  Anyway, after the video shoot, I forced (nagging is a speciality of mine) Gary to save it.  He locked Stella up on the deck.  Anyway, now Mark can check that item off his bucket list.

Obviously, nothing else exciting is happening.  I decided to have a shrimp boil tonight.  I have new potato creamers, corn on the cob, and some huge shrimp ready.  That's it for now......
