Last Weekend

I'm not writing about the weekend before, but about the last Saturday and Sunday of the year. You know, it's been a good year. I have tons of things to be thankful for. I think all of my friends do also.

Yesterday, Chloe, Morgan, Angie and I did girlie things. First stop....Ulta. We spent about $150 so we could save money on getting shellac- gel manicures. We bought our own stuff. I'm not sure how long it will take us to recoup, but we are trying to save money. I just hope it's the thought that counts.

The two girls got bored and went to the book store, then we all met up in Kirklands. Lucky us, I didn't see anything that sparked my interest. Then we headed to Coldwater Creek. Ugh! They had a 50% off sale. I got a few things, but I'm still trying to figure out if I got a bargain. I think NOT.

We then headed to a store that had 80% off everything..... And I saw nothing I wanted. Then to Gloria's. Now even there, I couldn't decide. I settled down and had a tamale and nachos. Not impressed. When I get nachos, I expect a slice of jalapenós on every chip. I only got 2 slices total. What a disappointment. I did eat them, but I will not order them again. We were all tired after that, so we called it a day.

I came home and rearranged my bedroom. I had to make room for a recumbent bike I got from Chloe. I now have my PC hooked up to the big screen tv in my room. I am trying to fix it so I can ride the bike and use the PC at the same time. I connected the wireless keyboard and mouse, and it works great. Problem is, I can surf a heck of a lot longer than I can peddle. Oh we'll, at least I'm trying, and I did clean my room. My closet? Maybe after New Years.

Stella and I got up at 4 am this morning. I was too hot, then got cold. This Texas weather is perfect. If you don't like it, you just have to wait a short time and it will be different.

Sheila, Joyce and Mark made it home, just 6 hours late because of the weather. Tomorrow night we're all getting together for a Casino night at the golf course. After that, breakfast with Ralph and Margie at their house.

So it begins..... Our yearly January Joyce Festival. We try and over do everything, cause Joyce is here. It really is a lot of fun to cram activities into every possible moment. Tomorrow night is the first event, and Sheila has a football party planned for next Friday evening at her house. I have craft items we need to do. Oh gosh.... The fun begins. I will have my camera tomorrow nite, so you will get pictures.

For now.... I 'm going to take some soup to our friend Dawn. Later.....
