The Golf Gods Are Still With Me

Wednesday turned out okay after all. Well, Sheila got stuck working on her web page business. Hey, I need to know the address of her web page business so I can refer people to her web design page. Back to business........ Sheila didn't make it to Telco golf, but Gary T did. He and I played as partners, and we came in with a 33 team score, Carlos and Sheila's substitute came in with a 32 team score, but the winning score was 31....those damned Popes!
The good news, I shot a respectable 42, which beat everyone in my foursome. I'm not bragging or anything, just stating a fact. Also, to quote Randy F's e-mail....
Connie G. won $16.00 with her closest to the pin on #3 and a skin on #8 with a par/net birdie.

Another quote from Randy's e-mail...
Connie and Eddie P. tied for second low gross scores with 42s.

Now, all you Sheila fans, start calling and e-mailing her, cause here's one more thing Randy's e-mail said...
We have three weeks left to accumulate points and there is a real fight for the last Wild Card slot between Sharon P., Tracy P. and Sheila C.

I personally hope I've not intimidated Sheila into not attempting to qualify for the Ryder Cup. I mean, I am playing well, but surely she isn't afraid I'll beat her THAT bad! If she came out and played "half decent", I'm sure she could qualify. Be sure and give her your support. Sheila, if you want some golf pointers, I will attempt to help you with your game.

There, that done....... the damned squirrels have attacked all the still-green pecans on one of our trees. They are the biggest sized pecans we've had since we've moved here. I'm doing a test, to see if aluminum foil will deter the damned things. I've wrapped it around a few of the pecan clusters that have not been "molested". I hope it keeps them from eating them. If not, my next move will be to electrocute them. The tree looks weird, but it's just a test. I'll keep you posted. I think it makes it look almost like a tacky Xmas tree, but without the lights. If I have to use electricity to zap them, I may go ahead and add the lights.

My life is just too exciting. I'm busy getting my plans together for what I'm going to take to Glen Rose for the AT&T year end tournament. I'm really looking forward to that. So far, my list includes...
tequila
orange juice
fresh limes
triple sec
Margaritaville Machine
salt
Coors light
my tattoo
It's still incomplete, but I do want to start planning early. Guess I better close and get busy.
