We Whooped Up On Sheila's Team

Well, my good play is hanging in there. I went to the scramble last night, so did Sheila. My team shot a 4 under par (9 holes), and her team only shot a 3 under par. Now, it doesn't matter that she made 2 of the 3 birdies for her team, and that I made NONE of the birdies for my team, it's the fact that MY team beat HER team. Take that.....Sheila! We also tied for 1st place, but did lose the scorecard playoff, so we had to settle for 2nd place.

Dad and I were up bright and early this morning because we had an 8:00 eye doctor appointment. Morgan, Angie and Chloe came over at 7:15 am to announce that Chloe was going to do the daily video announcements for her school this morning. It is done via video connection to all rooms at the same time. Need I add, Gary and Angela were there for the presentation. Angie took a movie camera, but they weren't allowed in the room where the video was being filmed, and she couldn't capture it on the video she was allowed to watch. She WAS told, however, that parents and grand-parents don't come watch, as a norm. Oh well, who ever thought for one minute that we have a "normal" family? Guess it went okay, she's going to do it again next week.

Dad and I both had improved on our eyesight. I can now ease off the prednizone (spelling???). I only take it once a day for one week, then every other day for one more week, then I'm off. There is still damage to the eye, but it is better, so he's hoping I can stay off the steroids. ME TOO! He also was on a conference call with my Pri-Care, Dr Moolamalla. Hope they decided on an action plan to prevent future events with the eyes.

Angie has asked that I take care of Morgan for 3 days and 2 nights the week of Sept 21. Angie is going to be a 5th grade camp chaperone. She and Chloe will go to camp during the school week, and Morgan will come over here and eat us out of house and home. Basically, I will only be responsible for taking her to school, and stocking the house with lots of food. She's already planning on eating out (Italian food, of course, at Picasso's) and snacking. She's such a hoot.

That's it for now. Sheila is off with a web customer figuring out what they'll build for his business, Gary T is visiting an ill relative, and I'm getting ready to head for golf..... alone. Sheila will meet me there, and I'm just not sure about Gary T. If he calls before I head out the door, I may pick him up. I'm not sure if he'll even go. I am going to say a special prayer for him and his wife, Diane.

Something else....... I made the cut to play in the Telco AT&T Ryder cup, and also the AT&T leage Championship match. Sheila may get in as an alternate, but that's what she gets for NEVER being home. That girl takes more , as the Canadians would say, "Holidays", than anyone I know. Forget that crap they say about someone coming back as a dog after they die..... I want to come back as a Canadian living in Texas. They seem to have it all.....golf and travel!
