SWIGGIN BEER AND SMOKIN STOGIES

Nothing happened today. Oh yeah, I did go to work at the course today. I terminated a lady (it's really ugly when you fire a volunteer) and have not replaced her, so I ended up having to do her job. Anyway...... I worked only 5 1/2 hours cause it started sprinkling. Then came home and did noting the rest of the day.

I didn't blog about it the other day, but Sheila and I were talking about how Morgan was upset that the rec center didn't have a girls basketball team. She spoke to the manager about the unfairness of the fact that they only have them for boys. Oh.... let me clarify..... she was with Gary and he told her they don't have one for girls. She said...."I'm going to speak with the manager about that." Of course, he let he go by herself, and she spoke with the manager. She came back very upset, telling Gary that he said she's just a kid and that's the way it is. Gary immediatly took her up the the manager and informed him it was a valid question and she is NOT a kid.... she's seven years old. Ok, if you're like me, confused by Gary.... I did ask what happened next, and he said nothing, they left.
Anyway, Sheila suggested I get Morgan into hockey. It's a clean competitive sport, and Morgan would be good at it. I mentioned it to Morgan, and she told me she doesn't know how to ice skate. Well, that is a problem. I told her we'd have Papa Gary teach her. She was fine with that. Then today...... what is ALL over the internet??????

The International Olympic Committee will investigate the actions of Canadian women's hockey players who celebrated their gold medal victory Thursday night by swigging beer and smoking cigars on the ice in Vancouver.
A number of players, including 18-year-old superstar Marie-Philip Poulin, were drinking alcohol on the ice following the team's 2-0 defeat of the United States. (The legal drinking age in British Columbia is 19.) Players lingered for more than 70 minutes after the awards ceremony reveling in the arena, which was empty except for media and arena staff.

Thanks Sheila....... that was a great idea! Now all I have to do is get Morgan to start smoking stogies and swiggin beer!
Here's my political bumper sticker
