Friday after the 5th and the Dietician NAZI

Still playing catch up.  I forgot to tell you all that on Thursday after going to the store, I found that the freezer wasn't working on the fridge.  I grabbed everything that wasn't ruined, and cleaned up the mess.  All the ice cream was tossed, along with some meat, but there was 8 pounds of chicken breast that were not completely thawed, and I cooked them.  Gary finally came home and found me a thermometer.  I put it in the fridge and it was working fine.  I finally decided SOMEONE had left the door ajar.  That particular fridge is in the garage, and it was rather toasty Thursday.

Friday, I did nothing all day, sort of.  I did go to PT.  That was the extent of my day.  After that, I got on the internet.  I was looking at property.  Nothing exciting about that.  I did find something I wanted.  5 acres in Como, Tx, which is in "east" Texas.  That means that it's east of Dallas, and they have pine trees, lakes and woods.  Cute little place.  It has a mobile home on it, inside is a lot nicer looking than outside.  I wasn't looking for a trailer house, but whatever.  However, it did have a nice garage, and two things that Chloe wanted it for.  A chicken coop with live chickens.  It also had a small blue cottage..... a guest house.  The guest house was nicer looking from the outside than the trailer.  Honestly, it was darling.  It was also in 4 acres, so it would let us have a huge garden.  Gary nixed it cause he wanted something closer to a lake.  Whatever.

Got up today, Saturday, cleaned house for a little while.  It doesn't take me long to get bored with that.  Then, I had a great idea.  I decided to use the pasta machine Gary bought me for our anniversary in March.  It had never been out of the box.  Don't take it the wrong way, I've wanted one for ages.  Anyway, I start and am short one egg.  I called the closest grocer (Angie who lives 4 blocks away) and she said she'd give me one.  I told her I would ride my bike over to get it, but she insisted Chloe ride her bike to my house, cause she needed the exercise.  I got tired of waiting, and rode over anyway.  I found Chloe leaving just as I rode into the drive.  We rode back together.  That is the only exercise I had all week.

The two of us made pasta together.  I didn't think it was going to turn out, cause I couldn't "knead" it like you can bread.  My arms were so tired, I quit, but Chloe finished it up for me.  We followed the directions to a T, and finally got all of it thru numerous passes thru the blades.  While it was boiling in the pot, I got one of my cooked chicken breasts heated up, and made some alfredo sauce.  Chloe and I loved the texture.  It was nice and tender.  Gary even liked it.  He ate an additional bowl.  Now, if only I can be that successful next time.  It was really surprisingly easy.  I will definitely do it again.

Now...all about the DIETICIAN NAZI.  My neighbor is a dietician.  If you want to check her out....     http://www.netnutritionist.com/      here's her web site.  She ordered me a Bodymedia Exerspy device.  It monitors your body temp, heart rate, and some other crap, and determines how many steps you take, how much oxygen you use, how sound you sleep, how many calories your burn, and I think it also knows if you fart.  Here is a picture of it.

I just hope that if I use it, I will look like the picture above.  Anyway, she came down this afternoon and loaded the software on my pc.  She also showed me where to log it, and how to log my food.  Here's the good part.  She sold it to me at cost.  She is also giving me access to the web site without charging me the standard $14.95 charge the company would charge me.  She shows in their database that she is my personal trainer.  Now the bad part...... she controls my password because I ride her account.  That means I can't cheat etc.  She just watches what I log.  I honestly don't want to cheat, I just want to lose some weight.  However, if she sees that I'm not exercising enough, then she'll ring my doorbell and harrass me.  BUSTED.  I logged some crap food today, but once I go to bed tonight, I'm going to faithfully test it.  I am curious how many calories I burn while I'm asleep, and what it shows is my sleep pattern.  It can't detect sleep apthnea, but it can detect if I awake.... if I understood it correctly.  I know for sure, it is supposed to analyze deep sleep.

That's it for now.  I'm off to eat another peach.  I cannot get enough of them.  They are sooooo delicious this year.  Beats eating chocolate.  Have  a nice one.  And if you hadn't noticed, I update 3 blogs entries today.
