I am sooooo excited. I played golf yesterday with the FWGA girls, and was actually able to complete a round of golf in 3 1/2 hours. That's gotta be a record first. I also broke my record 120 that I've had since I "tried" to start playing golf after my shoulder surgery. I shot a 101. Now all I need to do is STILL figure out how to hit my fairway woods "into the air". I could have broken that record by maybe 10 strokes if I had been able to do that. It was also extremely windy.
Now.... here's the part where Tiger would be jealous. I actually had less putts than anyone else in the league (there were 40 ladies playing). I had 32 putts. That's not bad at all since I had 5 three putts, I think it was 4 two putts, and the other 9 were one putts. I was the proud winner of $6.?? dollars. Too bad I couldn't have won the hole in one pot. Oh well, I'll save that for next week.
I am just hoping that my superior putting skills won't upset Sheila, Gerry, Margie, and Sue, who were all playing yesterday. They'll probably all be either mad at me, or expecting me to give them putting lessons. (Sorta makes you want to gag, doesn't it????)
We all went to lunch together after golf. Gerry was nice enough to give me the smallest half of her burger, less than half her fries, and more than half the mayo. What are good friends for?
Enough about my gloating...... I've got to get ready for the grand daughters tonight. It is Friday, and both of them are coming over. They want to go hit golf balls as soon as they get home from school. They both got new golf gloves (our trip to Golf Smith's after Sunday lunch at El Fenix) and want to try them out.
