Being old sucks. I have been up and down the ladder several hundred times today removing the last few Xmas decorations. I had this dumb idea that as I take everything down, to clean the windows and the regular items that occupy the shelves. What a stupid mistake. I think, make that "think", I did the same thing last year.
The problem is, I forgot how much work and pain it caused last year. My poor body. NOW, I remember my pledge last year to not do it again. However, my memory fails me at times. Now I would kick myself for forgetting, except my legs are too sore to kick myself. Gary is pooped also. He has a bit of a break though, he's over at Angela's house working on her broken garage door. Our very own garage door could be broken, who knows. We can't see it for all the Xmas boxes sitting in the garage.
Good news? I did manage to take a break long enough to get my hair cut. Since I've been seeing the new gastro doctor, I've been feeling so much better. Problem is, I'm now absorbing more nutrients, and my hair is growing faster. I can no longer go 2 months between hair cuts.... it's all I can do to go one month. Yeah for being healthy.
Had thought about taking Angie and the girls in the RV to the lake, but alas, Chloe has an oboe competition Saturday, and the logistics show it just doesn't make sense. The only thing that made sense was Morgan's suggestion that we just leave her mother and Chloe here and she, Gary and I go without them. That Morgan..... she is always thinking.
It is a really beautiful day here. If I play my cards right, I will be over being sore in time for Sheila's Super Bowl Party Sunday evening. If not, I'll drag my sorry arse over there anyway. I'll complain all night and hopefully it will make me feel better knowing I'm wearing everyone else out by complaining. I am cheating on the food. I bought a prepared brisket and am taking over sliders.
That's all the excitement at my house. Just used the excuse I needed to blog, so I could justify doing nothing for a few minutes.
Later....
