Went to the doctor this morning... bad news.... I've been a bad girl. I was NOT supposed to go without the sling, even at night. I got a lecture from Dr. Voth..... I can do it his way for six more weeks of doing nothing, and hopefully get back to normal within a couple of months, or do it my way. My way would be me cheating and not wearing the sling 24 hours a day and lifting my arm just a little. Then, in a few months or a year, when the pain gets too much, I can start all over again. Some choice. Needless to say, I'm doing it his way from now on. Pain pills if needed, and no more doing anything unless it's at physical theraphy, which I can start next Tuesday. PROM. For all you non-physical theraphy types, that means passive range of motion only. The PT will be the one to move the arm. So much for that!
Came home, and Gary has started to lay tile in Dad's bathroom. I sat in the power recliner all day..... I'm going nuts! Stella went outside, and started tearing apart the box the tile cutter came in. Gary did make me get her. She is determined to find whatever it is that she thinks is in the box. She finally got bored and went roaming in the back yard.
I planned for Gary to grill some steaks, but he had to take Morgan and Chloe to HSM3! The show started at 7:15, so they left at 5:15 to get good seats. Hope they didn't get there too late. Anyway, he started the fire, and left me alone to cook steaks. Yes, I can do that one handed. Oh well, a nice steak dinner, baked potato, hot rolls, and grilled fresh asparagus and squash. It was great, but a little boring to eat alone. There I was.... bored and nothing to do. Then it happened.... Stella came in.
If I ever get the slide show posted, you'll see it was a job. I had plenty to do. You may not be able to tell it from the pix, but it takes forever to get those damned stick tights (or whatever they're supposed to be called) out of her hair. That was my exciting day. Tomorrow will be better, since we're supposed to go out with Mark and Sheila.
