DAY THREE IN BANDERA

Wow..... wished I'd gone to bed earlier than I did. I again managed to drag out of bed and enjoyed my coffee out front of the cottage in the Adriondack chair. Finally got dressed, and Sheila and I headed for breakfast. Breakfast at 7:00 am comes really early in the Hill Country. Our tee time was 8am, so we did have to rush to get everything loaded into the car for the short drive to the Pro Shop. I was tired! I was paired with Tom R. from Houston. Talk about fun. Anyway, I could NOT do anything correct. We each purchased two mulligans, and I used one of mine on the first tee, and the other one on the second hole. Not a good start. It was a terrible round. I sucked.... a big 101 for me. The 9 hole round wasn't much better. We missed the money by 2 strokes.

We stopped and ate lunch after the morning round, and regrouped for the afternoon 9 hole team event, a low gross/low net geam score. I did a lot better on that, I shot a 40 for nine holes, and did contribute to the team score on several holes. I did win a closest to the pin for hole #7. My team did well, we just didn't shoot lights out.

We all decided to do a skins game after the tournament ended, and before dinner. Off we went. Talk about a lot of fun. I am a good sport, but for some unknow reason, I am always getting trick played on me. These two pictures were taken of one of the guys jokes.

I had gone to the potty, and Dave M. from San Antonio decided to scare me. He opened the door to the women's potty, and walked in. There is no door on the stall, but all he could see of me would have been my knees. Anyway, when I heard the footsteps, I froze and called out "Sheila??" No answer. I finished and went outside. I figured out what happened when everyone was staring at me smiling. didn't win any holes, but I was proud of myself for matching Jeston D. on one hole to keep him from winning the pot. In the end, he won most of the money, with Dave M. winning the rest. It was great fun.

We all ate at the brisket cook out by the river. The Gang practiced their "deer" calls and singing of home on the range. The people from Norway were soooo impressed. We then headed to the Branding Iron for the Calcutta. That went fairly well. We all played pool, then headed to the cottages to sit in the Adriondack chairs.

DAY THREE WAS GOOD TO ME......
