Day Two in Bandera

Sheila and I slept in a little since we didn't have a morning tee time. We enjoyed coffee in the front of our bungalow under the live oak tree in our red Adriondack chairs. It was so beautiful, and just a little cool. While sitting there enjoying the Hill Country weather and views, up pulled our new neighbors. (The cottages are like duplexes... we were in 20, and the guys were in 22, just down the street.) Out of the car jumped Mike M. from Houston, doing the "Go Mikey, Go Mikey" dance, and George H., from Houston. Talk about having fun. Those two are a couple of crazy guys.

Breakfast was really good, and we noticed while eating that there were tons of families there from Norway for a Texas Dude Ranch experience. They were so much fun to watch. They were all dressed in western wear (bandannas, chaps.... etc). No two were dressed the same. They were enjoying the newly opened water park, horse riding, everything else TEXAS.

Here's Sheila approaching the par 3 that ate her lunch..... in the water on her first shot.

We basically did nothing, until time to play golf with the rest of the AT&T group, in the individual stroke play. It was a good day for me, I shot an 84. None of the rest of the Gang did as well.

Everyone in the tournament got together to eat at the buffet. The food was very good. Carlos led us down a weird path.... told us there was cheese sauce for the brocolli, so we all went back and got some. Turned out, it was Mango Chutney.... for the fish. It wasn't bad..... but none of us finished our veggies.

At 8pm, everyone met in the Branding Iron Saloon and the prizes for the days tournament were distributed. I won a closest to the pin, a skins, and 2nd place in my flight. It was great...... except they adjusted my handicap down to a 14 (was a 17). BUMMER! At least I stayed in the same flight.

We all went back to the cottages, and the neighbors and the Gang hung out in the Adriondack chairs and visited. We headed to bed early.... well before 1am.

DAY TWO WAS FANTASTIC FOR ME!
