Friday Sept. 5

It was another beautiful day. I went to the golf course to meet with Don K. Had a really productive meeting. Came home, worked on PA paper work, and am trying to set up a special schedule for a tournament that has over 400 players next Wednesday. Also, Don K, Matt M and I are going to reschedule the Garland City Women's Golf Championship Tournament to October so we can try and get more women interested.

Chloe and Morgan came over today after school, and we all made plans for our Friday nite trip to El Fenix. We talked Dad into going with us. He had his usual, chicken fried steak with beans and rice, the girls had enchilada dinners, and I had bean and cheese nachos. We waddled on home, and then Chloe left because she was having a friend spend the night.

Morgan was bored, so she came up with a plan to make money. She walked in and showed me a note... it had her name, some scribbles (she's only in kindergarten and can't spell yet), and he phone number. She can, by the way, write all her numbers and her name. I was busy on the PC, so I nonchalantly said "oh, that's really good" and went back to work. She and Gary left, and came back in about an hour. Morgan was sooooo excited about all the money she made. After several questions, I realized what she and Gary had done.

That Bozo Gary, took her door to door, and let her offer her mother's services to clean houses for money. He didn't know how much she told them, cause he was standing a distance away. She provided her mother's name and phone number to 7 people. That's not bad since she only went to 15 houses. I have yet to convince him how stupid that was. He just smiles and says.... Morgan liked it. He's utterly hopeless, and now Angie and I are afraid to be seen in the neighborhood, lest the neighbors think she and I are as nuts as Gary must be. Some you may not know it, but she only lives 4 blocks away. (That was Gary's idea so he could be close to the girls.)

That's the most exciting thing tonight. I do wish he'd taken pictures so I could have posted them on the blog. Maybe tomorrow will bring something interesting. Oh, I'm playing golf Sunday with Sheila, Mark, and Carlos S.. Hope I do well.... later
