Still Not In Houston

Still here.... still waiting for that phone call to go to Houston. We're going to blow them off on Friday and put the house back on the market if we've not closed with them. I am sick of this waiting and waiting.

I need to tell everyone that Margie S. dropped by on her way home last night. She has never looked better. I swear, she looked 10 years younger. I don't know if it's her wig or what, but she was just beautiful. She also said she felt really great. She'd worked at market for a couple of days. She is trying to maintain a positive attitude, and continue to enjoy her normal routine as she feel like it. She only has chemo every 3 weeks, so she was at the tail end of her last treatment and feeling okay. Today was another round of chemo, so she'll be deathly ill for about 10 days if it's like it was last time. MARGIE.....We're praying for you. As I told her before, between her family and all of her friends (and she has a ton of friends), we'll all get thru this together.

I am waiting until next week to see the doctor, cause I can't make an appointment if I'm not here, and HOPE I get to close on that house. I've been feeling better today, but still not 100%. I decided to celebrate so my household and Angie and the girls went out to eat. We decided on Cheddars. I had grilled chicken, rice and brocolli, so I was a good girl. Chloe had chicken strips (fried of course), Dad had chicken fried steak, Angie had a fried chicken salad, Gary had a pasta salad, and Morgan has alfredo. All the food was good, and Inever order chicken strips, but I swear...... not eating any flour is weird. I have never in my life see such beautiful chicken strips. They even smelled good. I don't know if it was that good or not, but when I discussed this with Chloe, she said they were the best she'd ever had. Hmmmmmmm.

Everyone was driving Dad crazy at dinner. Angie got her new Samsung phone...... the cheap version of my iPhone. She doesn't like it as well as mine...... she's going to give it to Eric (he never gets anything new except at Xmas) and get her a different one. Morgan watched TV on Angie's phone while Chloe called and talked to Gary, while Angie played with my iPhone. (Yes, we were all sitting together. Sad part is, no one seemed to notice us, cause so many people were doing the same thing.... talking on their phone or texting.) Dad got bored so he started confusing everyone by calling them secretly while they were doing something else on their phone. It was funny to watch. This will NOT be a normal thing.... just that the girls are so excited about TV and internet on a phone.

Hopefully the weather will be my friend tomorrow. Sheila called yesterday, and I "think" she's going to play Telco golf tomorrow. Steve and Denise are coming in for a short visit, so I'm not sure she'll go. Think it depends on whether or not she's had to work. I haven't played golf since last Wed., so I'm ready! I just hope I can golf without drinking a beer or two. To be honest, it was almost too hot last week to even enjoy a beer.

I'll blog the outcome... if all goes well.

I STILL LOVE MY iphone

for the record... Eric was planning on getting the same phone anyway!! He wanted to see mine first. He likes it and doesn't want to wait for another one to ship.
